Today, Art Stage Singapore opens. Chihuly Studio and Litvak Gallery present artwork at the fair for the first time.
The presentation of artworks includes pieces from Chihuly’s well-known Persian and Venetian series along with Sealife Putti. While experimenting with new forms, the Persian pieces were created and evolved into sculptures and installations mounted to walls and suspended as overhead compositions. The Sealife Putti represent a break from his traditional non-representational artworks but reflect his continuous inspiration from water.
Chihuly has worked in Singapore since the mid-90s and has many public installations on view at:
