Chihuly Workshop Celebrates Release of New Print

Chihuly Workshop announces the release of its newest print, Dot Combo.

The new print exemplifies the artist’s intuitive drawing style and mastery of color. Two large Baskets speak to the series in glass he began in 1977 and reveal the energy and the spontaneity of his work on paper. Vertically composed on a warm intaglio background, lithography layers in magenta and gold inks and additional handwork connect the overlapping Baskets. The combination of acrylic lime and turquoise dots and vibrant, iridescent purple “lip wraps” create a compelling contrast against the orange background. This five-color intaglio/lithograph with handwork is signed by the artist in a light copper acrylic paint.
